On August 22, AHUT held a conference releasing the latest research results on low carbon energy by its scholars and the transformation signing ceremony. Zeng Jie, Standing Committee Member and Vice President of the University Party Committee, Xu Jian, President of Anhui Zero Carbon Association, Yang Qi, Deputy Secretary General of the Ma’anshan Government, Ding Bin, professor of the School of Management, University of Science and Technology of China, advisor of Anhui Zero Carbon Association attended the conference. Participants included dozens of enterprises. Zhang Shihong, Head of the Department of Discipline Construction of AHUT hosted the opening ceremony.

Zeng pointed out in his speech that the establishment of the Low-carbon Research Institute is a concrete action taken by the university to thoroughly implement the major strategic deployment of the government on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, give full play to the advantages of scientific research in universities, and promote the development and application of low-carbon technologies. Guided by China's green development strategy, the Low Carbon Research Institute is committed to strengthening the establishment of a forward-looking innovation system, building an effective cross-cooperation research mechanism, integrating original innovation, integrated innovation and introduction, absorption and re-innovation, and is an important platform for cross-research of cutting-edge technologies and common technologies in the field of low carbon. After two years of development, the Low Carbon Research Institute has made a series of major original achievements. The results release conference invited government leaders, Anhui Zero Carbon Association, industry experts, investment fund managers and business executives in related fields to carry out industry-university-research connection activities, hoping that the research results can provide references for relevant research in all sectors of society, and contribute the wisdom and strength of Anhui University of Technology to China's low-carbon transformation and the realization of the goal of double carbon and make greater contributions to China's low-carbon transition and the realization of carbon neutrality by 2060.

At the conference, AHUT released more than 10 scientific and technological achievements in the fields of new energy vehicles, hydrogen energy, high energy batteries, high-end equipment and protective coatings, and signed results transformation agreements with three enterprises respectively.
