The 14th RoboCup Robotics World Cup Iran Open was held in Tehran, Iran, from May 4 to 6, The YuShan robot soccer team, which was guided by Cheng Zekai and Qin Fei from the School of Computer Science of AHUT and with the participation of Tang Yaokun, Lu Yirong and Liu Chao, entered in the simulation 2D group online. After a fierce competition, the team fought hard and won the final round-robin match with 6 wins and 1 tie, and finally won the championship of the simulation 2D group with a 3:2 victory over the previous champion team.
Since its inception in 1997, the RoboCup Robotics World Cup has become one of the world's most influential, comprehensive and technically advanced professional robotics competitions with the widest range of participation, providing a landmark and challenging topic for the development of artificial intelligence and intelligent robotics disciplines, and a standardized environment for dynamic confrontation in related research fields. The RoboCup Robotics World Cup Iran Open, one of its largest open competitions, set up six events, including robot soccer, robot rescue, service robot, and autonomous driving. 18 teams from six countries, including Iran, France, Germany, Canada, Brazil, and China, participated in the final of the simulation 2D group.
In recent years, relying on the discipline advantages of computer science, AHUT has built a platform for discipline competition and made elaborate organizations and arrangements in pre-tournament mobilization, process guidance, mid-term promotion and post-selection. Founded in 2009, YuShan team has won the second and third place in the RoboCup Iran Open twice, the third place in the RoboCup World Cup final twice, and the RoboCup China championship five times.
