The 2017 Annual Meeting of China Regional Economic Association & Symposium of Regional Innovation Driving and Industrial Transformation and Upgrading was successfully held in AHUT on September 23th.

Over 260 experts attended the meeting from the government agencies, research institutes and universities including Research Institute of State Council, Development Research Center of State Council, National Development and Reform Commission, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Nanjing University, Fudan University, and Zhejiang University, etc. The opening ceremony was chaired by Lin Zhonggao, Vice president of AHUT.

Shao Guohe, Vice chairman of Anhui CPPCC, pointed out in his speech that the innovation development is a systematic project that must rely on the region and be supported by the industry. Anhui Province's regional innovation capacity has been ranked ninth nationwide and the first in central China for five consecutive years .

President Li Jiaxin gave a welcome speech on behalf of AHUT. He pointed out that AHUT will take this meeting as an opportunity to further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation with counterparts nationwide, and constantly enhance school-running level.

The meeting helps to further strengthen the communications and contacts between thef aculty in AHUT and experts from other universities, which will have a positive impact on the construction and development of applied economics in AHUT.
