On the 28th of December 2017, the New Year Party was held at the Student Activity Center of Xiushan Campus, AHUT. It’s an annual event that marks the end of the year and welcomes students and teachers into the New Year. The University President Wei Xianwen, Vice-President Gu Mingyan, other relevant leaders, teachers as well as the Chinese and international students convened at one place for the big event.

With the slogan this year as “Share Moments, Share Future”, the party started at 7 pm at New Students’ Activity Center. The first program was the energetic modern dance “infinity” with the next program as the combination of songs given by hashtag band that had the crowd cheering on. Uzbek Cultural Dance and then Rwandan dance then followed with the next sketch making everyone laugh. Then the host welcomed Dai dance given by Chinese students which amazed the audience. After that, two students from Zimbabwe sang the touching song “all of me”. The scintillating and symphonic Huangmei Opera that followed was beautifully and melodiously sang by the performers.Modern dance called 3D dancers and an exhilarating singing performance “Perfect” then followed. A fashion show with representatives from different countries show-casing their countries’dressing followed.The show ended with the last performance “we are the world” where all the participants joined the stage singing and welcoming a new year full of love and blessings.
