Prof. Zeng Jie from AHUT Won the 12th CCS-BASF Youth Innovation Prize

The 34th Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) Annual Congress was held in Guangzhou, China, June 15-18, 2024, themed “Toward Higher Quality Chemistry Research.” At the congress, Prof. Zeng Jie from Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) was awarded the 12th CCS-BASF Youth Innovation Prize, which was won by only four young Chinese scientists for their outstanding achievements through new discoveries in chemical industry.

Professor Zeng Jie has got recognition for his work on catalytic conversion of carbon dioxide, proposing a new catalyst design concept, and opening up new pathways for catalytic transformation.

It is reported that the "CCS-BASF Youth Innovation Prize" is an academic award jointly established by the Chinese Chemical Society and BASF New Materials Co., Ltd. in 2001. The prize is given in recognition of outstanding young scientists under the age of 45 who are engaged in such fields as petrochemicals, polymer materials, fine chemical engineering, natural products and organic synthesis, surface and colloid chemistry, biological engineering (crop protection agents, feed additives). The award is presented to four persons every two years. To date, the prize had been presented to a total of 48 winners.
