From May 17 to 19, 2024 China Robot Competition & RoboCup China Open was held in Jinjiang, Fujian Province. Under the instruction of Professor Cheng Zekai from the School of Computer Science, the YuShan Robot football team composed of Zhang Liang, Dan Dabo, Xiong Huiyu, and Qin Haiyang won the championship of the simulation 2D group. To date, the YuShan team has won seven championships, four 2ndplaces and one 3rdplace in this competition.
The RoboCup China Open has been held for 26 consecutive years, and is one of the most influential and comprehensive competitions in China, and is a major exchange activity for intelligent manufacturing technology and high-end talents in China today. The 2024 RoboCup China Open was sponsored by Chinese Association of Automation, RoboCup China Committee, Jinjiang Municipal People's Government and Quanzhou Science and Technology Bureau. The college section was divided into eight major events, including RoboCup Soccer Robot Competition, RoboCup Rescue Group Competition, RoboCup@home. It attracted 456 teams from 136 universities across the country, including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, National University of Defense Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University.
