MCM is the only international mathematical modeling competition sponsored by the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Application, which is of great influence worldwide. 26,112 teams from 22 countries and regions including China, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and France participated in the competition this year, which emphasized the originality of research problems, solutions, teamwork cooperation and exchange, and the rationality of results.
AHUT has attached great importance to the competition since its start in October 2020 by making preparation plans and building a preparation atmosphere. There were in all 26 teams of AHUT signed up for MCM. The School of Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering carefully organized the training work for students. Advisors didn’t take a rest even during the winter vacation by providing guidance for students through the online teaching platform. Participating teams overcame all kinds of difficulties, worked together in selecting topics, analyzing, solving, demonstrating, putting forward reasonable suggestions, completing the writing of the English research paper, and finally achieved great success.
