Recently, the Ministry of Education (MOE) officially released the record and results of examination and approval of the undergraduate programs of colleges and universities in China. Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) established three undergraduate programs, including Robot Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and Big Data Technology, which belong to School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Computer Science & Technology and School of Mathematics & Physics separately.The field of disciplines of conferring academic degrees is engineering and the years of schooling is 4 years.

The approved three undergraduate programs are emerging engineering education related. It is an important measure for AHUT to carry out research and practiceof national projects of emerging engineering education and to further optimizethe professional layout of disciplines. It is also of great importance for AHUT to meet the needs of state and economic society, to cultivate highly competitive engineering talents with high quality in practice and innovation to meet the requirements of the emerging industry and the new economy.

AHUT will focus on strengthening the construction of new disciplines and take the needs of economic and social development as the guidance to continue to improve and enhance the professional connotation. AHUT will establish a sound mechanism of quality assurance, strengthen supervision and inspection of the construction of new disciplines and promote the close integration of personnel training with economic and social development to effectively improve the quality of personnel training
