On February 10, professor Ding Han, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, director of State Key Lab of Digital Manufacturing Equipment and Technology and Dean of School of Mechanical Science and Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, visited Anhui University of Technology (AHUT). AHUT president Wei Xianwen met with Ding Han. Also present were teacher representatives from School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Computer Science and Technology, and School of Electrical and Information Engineering.

Wei extended his warm welcome to Ding and delivered his gratitude to Ding’s longtime support. He briefed on the developments and achievements of AHUT in recent years. Then Ding introduced the researches his team has done in the hope of making more cooperation and exchanges with AHUT.

In the following speech, Ding reviewed the development of disciplines including new engineering and mechanical engineering in universities and pointed out the key issues in intelligent manufacturing and robotic technology. After that, Ding had a discussion with the presenting teachers on the relevant research topics.
