On Dec.13, the final of 1st Anhui Foreigners Chinese Contest was held in Anhui Radio and Television Station. After intense competition, “Magic Voice Team of Genius”, comprised of international students from AHUT and Anhui Normal University (AHNU) took the first place.
The contest consisted of three parts, namely questions and answers on Chinese language and cultural knowledge, personal talent show, and Chinese traditional talent show. Through the preliminary contest and interview, Abdoulhakim Souhaibou and Soilihi Abderemane were selected on behalf of AHUT and formed a team with two students from AHNU to participate in the final. Other teams were international students from University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei University of Technology, AnhuiUniversity, Anhui Medical University, Anhui Agricultural University and Hefei University. With outstanding performance, “Magic Voice Team of Genius” became the champion eventually.
Held by the Foreign Affairs Department of Anhui Provincial Education Department, the contest aims to deepen international students’ understanding of China, enrich their cultural life, and strengthen the communication and integration between Chinese and foreign cultures by displaying the unique charm of Anhui culture and popularizing the programs of “Study in Anhui”. While carrying out English-taught programs, AHUT encourages international students to learn Chinese language and culture and succeeds in inspiring them to learn Chinese with enthusiasm.
