The 23rd RoboCup(2018), organized by the RoboCup International Federation, took place from June 15 to 23 in Montreal, Canada. This year, YuShan team from Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) once again competed in the RoboCup in the 2D simulation and finished in 6thplace.
YuShan team of AHUT has been one of the top contenders in this international competition for several years. Since 2012, YuShan team has competed in the finals for 5 times and has been among the top 8 ever since. In 2013, YuShan team won the bronze medal in the RoboCup held in Holland.
During the RoboCup 2018, teams from approximately 35 countries and regions, more than 4000 contestants competed in several main disciplines: football, rescue robots, industry and etc. This international competition and symposium also covered the highlights and hot issues of current automatic robot research and a series of activities, including exhibitions of robot products and technology, the summit of robot industry, the experience of robot education and scientific research. The 24th RoboCup (2019) will take place in Sydney, Australia.
