Recently, the Ministry of Education, P.R.C has released the list of the engineering programs that have passed the evaluation of Engineering Education Accreditation jointly conducted by the Teaching Evaluation Center of Higher Education and China Engineering Education Accreditation Association, which means these engineering programs have met with the international standards of Washington Accord. Six engineering programs of Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) are on the list, namely Metallurgical Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, Environmental Engineering，Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology. Together with previously accredited two engineering programs, namely Civil Engineering, Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering, 8 engineering programs of AHUT have met with the standards of Washington Accord so far.
   China Engineering Education Accreditation Association is the evaluation origination authorized by China Association of Science and Technology which is one of the Washington Accord signatories.
