On November 4th and 5th, the first Chinese Cultural Talent Competition for International Students Themed “Love for China” was held in Hefei, Anhui Province. The team from AHUT won the second prize in the competition.

This competition was divided into three sessions which include individual speech, team talent performance and knowledge quiz. AHUT made remarkable performance in the competition. Soilihi Abderemane, a Comoran student, won the third prize in the speech session; a song named “Chengdu” presented in team talent session impressed all audience; in the session of knowledge quiz, the team successfully made it to the final round. Finally, the team of AHUT won the second prize. This competition further enhanced international students’ understanding of Chinese national conditions as well as Chinese traditional culture and in the meanwhile stimulated their enthusiasm for learning Chinese.

This event was hosted by International Education Management Academy of Anhui Province and Chinese International Education Institute of Anhui Province, aiming to provide a stage for international students in Anhui to show their talents with Chinese language being the base and culture being the pillar, and at the same time it plays a key role in spreading Chinese culture.
