Recently, Dr. Soo Wohn Lee, the Secretary-General of the International Organization for Standardization-Metallic and other inorganic Coatings Committee (ISO/TC 107), the President of International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS),professor of Sun Moon University, visited Anhui University of Technology (AHUT), andgave suggestions and instructions to its efforts in the development of international standardization.

   

  President Li Jiaxin, Vice President Gu Mingyan met with Dr. Soo Wohn Lee on April 21, and expressed their appreciation of hisefforts in supporting the application of AHUT for the Sub-Committee of theInternational Organization for Standardization. Dr.Lee spoke highly of the work done in international standardization at AHUT, and congratulated the Research Center of Modern Surface and Interface Engineering, AHUT on becoming a Sub-Committee of the Physical Vapor Deposition Coatings ( ISO/TC 107 ).

   

On April24th, Vice President Wei Xianwen attended the meeting of AHUTInternational Standardization held on JiashanCampus.At the meeting, Dr. Soo Wohn Lee made an insightful lectureon the progress and the frontier research areas of international standardization. Dr. & Prof. Zhang Shihong, Presidentof Sub-Committee of the Physical Vapor Deposition Coatings ( ISO/TC 107 ) reported the preparatory work done by the secretariat for setting up the Sub-Committee at AHUT and the blueprint for its future development.
