AHUT-CHINA’s iGEM project, which was titled as “Nutrition Commander”, involvesthe main concept of increasing component of Acyl Phenylethanoid Glycosides(APeGs) through the method of synthetic biology in a common Chinese herbalplant—Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch. After almost nine months’ preparation andefforts, team members of AHUT-CHINA have successfully completed a series ofwork such as information research, theory design, experiment design, dataanalysis, model building, human practices and presentation design. In the finalpresentation, team members of AHUT-CHINA successfully displayed the innovationand creativity of the project, and won the silver medal of the final. Silvermedal winners of this year’s competition also include Berlin University, WuhanUniversity, Georgia Institute of Technology, Fudan University, Duke University,Columbia University, Nanjing Agricultural University, etc.
