The 2015 Annual Meeting of China Association of HigherEducation (CAHE) was successfully held at Anhui University of Technology (AHUT)from Oct. 23 to 25. The theme of the meeting is “the new ideas, new normal, andnew trend of higher education”. About 400 members of CAHE from all over China took part in the meeting. Top officials from Anhui Provincial Education Departmentand the Maanshan Municipal Government also attended the event.
Prof. Pan Maoyuan, renowned educator, the HonoraryPresident of Professional Board of Higher Education, addressed the meeting on theopening ceremony. Prof. Liu Xinyue, Chairman of AHUT Council, Prof. Wu Daguang,Vice Chair of CAHE, Prof. Zhang Yinqiang, President of the 5thCouncil of Professional Board of Higher Education made speech respectively onthe opening ceremony which was chaired by Prof. Chen Hongjie, Vice President ofthe 5thProfessional Board of Higher Education. Prof. Li Jiaxin,President of AHUT, was newly elected as the executive member of the 6th Counciland made an academic report on the meeting. Prof. Dai Yunchun, Director ofInstitute of Higher Education & Office of Planning and Development of AHUT,was elected as the member of the 6thCouncil.

During this meeting, 25 scholarsmade reports and 139 papers were collected. The participators made profounddiscussions onthe new ideas,new normal, and new trend of the reform and development of higher education inaccordance with China’s new “Four Overall” strategic blueprint.Their insights are of great significance forChinese colleges and universities in their future development.
