Two works created by two students of AHUT (Anhui University of Technology) won the only first prize and the second prize respectively in the First Creative Design Contest for Anhui College Students, which was jointly hosted by Anhui Educational Department, Anhui Science & Technology Department, Anhui Research Association of Creative Economy and Anhui Institute of Vocational and Adult Education.

The contest was launched on December 22, 2010. Two of works from the School of Mechanical Engineering, AHUT, were selected because of prominent originality among about 2455 works which are almost from all Anhui Schools offering related programs. At final scene argumentation held in Hefei on April 26, the works — Chancellor’s Umbrella created by AHUT student Fan Yipeng won the only first prize on products design; Another works — Water Resource designed by AHUT student Wang Tao won the second prize on graphic design.
