On the morning of December 8, convocation joined by all university senior officials and professors was held to announce the appointment of Professor LI Jiaxin as the president of Anhui University of Technology. The head of Anhui Educational Department, Professor CHENG Yi, Vice Director Mr. ZHANG Risheng from the Provincial Party Commission Organization Department, Director Mr. WANG Zhong from the Organization Division of Anhui Educational Department joined the meeting, which was chaired by Chair of University Council, Professor LAN Yujie.

Mr. ZHANG Risheng first declared the announcement made by the Provincial Government that Professor LI Jiaxin has been appointed as the President of Anhui University of Technology.
On behalf of Anhui Provincial Government and Educational Department of Anhui Province, Professor CHENG Yi mentioned that the new appointment is the reflection of carings from Anhui Provincial Government shown to Anhui University of Technology. He also raised several hopes for President LI Jiaxin’s newly taking of the position.
At the meeting, President LI Jianxin appreciated the trust from the Provincial Government, Anhui Educational Department and every colleague of the university. He said that Anhui University of Technology is meeting its crucial developing period and he will catch the chance to learn more from colleges and work hard to enhance the development of the university.
Profesorr LAN Yujie strongly supports the decision made by the Provincial Government and he emphasized the main missions for the university’s 12th Five-Year Plan and called for more efforts to build up more effective and vigorus campus.
