On the morning of August 14, Mr. Gao Kaihua, the deputy secretary of Anhui Provincial Educational Committee, and Director Wang Zhong from the Department of Cardres Organization arrived at Anhui University of Technology to announce the appointment of Professor Gu Mingyan as the vice President of Anhui University of Technology. The university top leaders including Lan Yujie, Li Jiaxin, Lin Zhonggao, PWang Guangyang, Chen Run and Zhang Guobao participated in the conference.
Trusted by the provincial government and on behalf of the Provincial Cardres Organization and Provincial Educational Committee, Mr. Gao Kaihua said that the new appointment for Professor Gu is the reflection of carings from Anhui Provincial Government and trust to the university leaders. He also raised several hopes for the university leaders.
At the meeting, Professor Gu Mingyan mentioned that confronted with various opportunities and challenges during the process of the university development she will try her every effort to learn more, work hard, keep well-disciplined and fulfill her duties for the new post.
President Li Jiaxin appreciated the caring and attention from the government for the university’s development and fully supported the appointment made for Professor Gu. He believes the new group of the university top will make more contributions to developing the university to a new stage.
Profesorr LAN Yujie strongly supports the decision made by the Provincial Government. He congratulated and rasied hopes for Professor Gu. In addition, he emphasized the main missions for the university’s 12th Five-Year Plan and called for more efforts to develop the university more scientifically and harmoniously.
