The opening ceremony of the 5th China (Wuhu) Popular Science Products Expo. Fair was held at the International Conference Center of Wuhu city on Nov. 23, which was co-hosted by China Association for Science and Technology and the People’s Government of Anhui Province and co-organized by Anhui Association for Science and Technology and Wuhu Municipal People’s Government. Led by Vice President Professor Gu Mingyan, the delegation from Anhui University of Technology was invited for the fair.
The theme of the fair is Develop the Cultural Industries of Popular Science, Promote Science and Technology and Serve the People’s Lives. Altogether 256 universities, colleges, research institutes, enterprises and science groups joined in the fair. Among all exhibitions, there are the nation’s latest scientific research achievements including the return capsule of Shenzhou IX (spaceship), the 1:1 size model for the docking of Shenzhou IX and Tiangong-1, deep-sea submarine "Jiaolong" model, high-tech applications and livelihood products. In addition, college students’ creative works are also on the show at the expo.
Anhui University of Technology sets out the latest research achievements made by the staff and students especially in the fields of metallurgical resources utilization, nanocomposite coatings, energy monitoring and evaluation system, industrial special robots and water treatment at the expo.
