From April 3 to April 7, the 2013 RoboCup was held at Tehran, Iran. The YuShan2D Simulation Robot Soccer Team from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Anhui University of Technology participated in the competition. After the fierce competitions, the team successfully reached the semi-finals and ranked NO. 3 in the end, the best ranking after 2011 when the team joined in the RoboCup Iran Open and ranked 12.
Iran Open is one of the 4 most influential robot soccer open competitions in the world. More than 700 teams from over 10 countries participated in the competitions which included groups of simulation, middle size, small size, the humanoid, the virtual reality and the rescue. 56 teams from Iran, China, U.S and Portugal ran for the competition of Simulation 2D, among which 24 managed to reach the final.
Furthermore, YuShan2D Simulation Soccer Team has been pre-qualified for the final of 2013 RoboCup Netherland World Cup and will participate in the competitions held in Eindhoven, the Netherlands in June this year.
