The Spring term of the new year begins on February 26. On the morning of the first day of the new term, Lu Lin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Wei Xianwen, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of the University, vice presidents Gu Mingyan, Liu Ming, Shui Hengfu, Wang Xianzhu and Zeng Jie sit in the classrooms of two campuses respectively and listened to the lectures together with students.

On the first day of the new semester, there were 262 teachers and 27,871 students having classes. In order to ensure the smooth running of the classes on the first day of the new semester, the Academic Affairs Office, the president’s Office, the Department of Student Affairs, the Department of logistics, the Information Office and other departments worked jointly to ensure the successful start of the new semester. Overall, the teachers and students were spirited and the classes are animated. The first day witnessed an orderly beginning of the new semester.
