Students of AHUT Won the 3rd Prize in the 2021 RoboCup

The RoboCup was held live online in Bordeaux, France, from June 22nd to 28th. Guided by Cheng Zekai, a lecturer from the School of Computer Science, and with the participation of Guo Jinbo, Chen Junpin, Chen Qingyu, Xie Lei and Tang Yaokun, Yushan team fought all the way and won the 3rd prize in the 2D simulation robot football match. Yushan team is the best Chinese university team in the competition.

In the preliminary round, Yushan team ranked first in its group and advanced to the final eight, in which, it ranked the 3rd place with four wins and one draw. In the finals, Yushan team lost to Cyrus, a team from Dalhousie University, Canada, and finished in the 3rd place. Team Cyrus from Dalhousie University, Canada and team Helios from Okayama University/Osaka Prefecture University, Japan, won thefirst and second place respectively.

RoboCup is a professional robot competition with great influence, high level of comprehensive technology and wide range of participation in the field of robot competition. The competition has 10 projects including RoboCup robot entity and simulation football competition, family service, rescue entity and simulation competition, etc., which attracts many well-known universities globally to participate in. More than 2000 contestants from about 40 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Italy and China took part in the competition.
