AHUT has established the Anhui Provincial Innovation Center for Metal Material Surface Protection Technology, with the First Technical Committee Meeting and Joint Laboratory Unveiling Ceremony held on campus. Academician Dong Shaoming of the Chinese Academy of Engineering serves as the Chair of the Technical Committee.

    AHUT has officially established the Anhui Provincial Innovation Center for Metal Material Surface Protection Technology. The First Technical Committee Meeting and Joint Laboratory Unveiling Ceremony took place on December 5, 2025, at the Academic Conference Center on the Jiashan Campus.

    The Technical Committee is chaired by Academician Dong Shaoming of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and includes 14 distinguished experts from leading universities and research institutions across China, including the National University of Defense Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Changchun University of Science and Technology, and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences Group.

    During the meeting, the Innovation Center presented its construction plan, which was reviewed and discussed by the Technical Committee members. Academician Dong Shaoming, Chair of the Technical Committee, acknowledged the Center’s achievements and recommended further refinement of research directions, breakthroughs in key technologies, and enhanced interdisciplinary collaboration.

    In a parallel session, the Joint Laboratory was inaugurated, marking a significant step forward in the University’s efforts to promote industry-academia-research collaboration. The University has pledged full support for the development of both the Innovation Center and the Joint Laboratory, aiming to achieve breakthroughs in metal material surface protection and to establish the Center as a nationally and internationally influential platform for technological innovation.
