Anhui University of Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Royal Roads University (RRU) in Canada, marking a significant step in expanding international collaboration.

The agreement was signed during a visit by an Anhui provincial education delegation to Japan and Canada in January 2025. Dr. Philip Steenkamp, President of RRU, warmly received the delegation. The two universities agreed to cooperate in areas including student and faculty exchanges, joint academic programs, short-term training, and collaborative research.

AHUT currently hosts five provincial or higher-level international exchange platforms and maintains close communication with 42 partner institutions abroad. The university has also signed cooperation agreements with multiple universities in the US, Germany, Russia, Japan, and South Korea.

The partnership with RRU aims to provide students with cross-cultural learning experiences and to cultivate globally competitive talent. Both sides express strong confidence in the broad potential for future collaboration.
