For Muslim people, November 7 is the most solemn festival, Corban Festival. On that

day, Vice Chair of University Council, Professor WANG Guangyang, Vice President CHEN Run and related university officials had lunch together with Muslim students at the Muslim canteens to celebrate the festival.

On the celebration, Director from Students’Affairs Office, Professor CHEN Xuanhua expressed his warmest congratulations. He mentioned that students from Tibet have brought new vatality to the campus and also offered good chances to other students to get to know more about the minorities, even though it’s the first year for the university to have students from Tibet. The university pays high attention to those students’education work and shows great respect to their customs and traditions. He hopes all students could value their university time to be well-educated and make contributions to the national unity and construction work.

wishes and presented gifts on behalf of the university. Students’representative, BAI Xiaozhong from School of Metallurgical Engineering showed students’ gratitude and reported what they had experienced in the past two months and expressed their determination to behave themselves and study hard.
