The division competitions held at East, North, South and Southwest of China running for  2012’ National College Students’ Siemens Industrial Automation have been finished recently. After fierce competitions, the team Solar Wind from the School of Electrical Engineering, Anhui University of Technology, composed by students named Xiong Shaokang, Meng Ke, Tan Yehai, tutored by Professor Li Shaoming and Professor Zhang Jiayan have successfully qualified themselves for the last round which is to be held in Tianjin from August 25 to August 28. There are altogether 20 teams from the whole country running for the final.

The Siemens Cup is aimed to enhance the qualification of higher education and increase students’ engineering interests and their ability in industrial design, practice, innovation and application of comprehensive knowledge. The competition is sponsored by Guidance Committee of Automation Teaching at Higher Institutions of Ministry of Education, Chinese Association for System Simulation and Siemens in China.
