Announced by Chinese Ministry of Education and China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CSIAM), two teams, composed of six students from AHUT (Anhui University of Technology) named Yan Shuai, Yu Wending, Yao Meng, Wang Gang, Wang Yu and Zhang Pingfei won the second prizes of Group A at the 2011’National Mathematical Modeling Competition which was co-sponsored by Ministry of Education and China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.

Before that, at Anhui Division, AHUT sent 16 teams, composed of 48 students to participate the competition. Two teams won the first prizes, two teams for the second prizes and six teams for the third prizes. 62.5% of the participating students won the prizes, which ranks in the front among all college students.
