On December 23, the 2019 New-Year Forum to Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-up was held at Student Activity Center of Xiushan Campus, Anhui University of Technology. Experts, scholars and entrepreneurs were present to share their insights regarding the policy of reform and opening-up.
Chairman of AHUT Council Liu Xinyue extended his welcome and gratitude to the guests at the outset. He then delivered a speech on “Power of Thoughts”, stating the significanceof advanced ideas in leading Chinese to realize the country’s “two centenary goals” and the Chinese dream of great national renewal. He also emphasized the resolution of AHUTers to deeply study and implement the spirit of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speech at the grand gathering to celebrate the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up.
Then, Fan Conglai, Assistant President of Nanjing University reported his study concerning the links between China’s monetary policy and the policy of reform and opening-up.
Deputy Editor-in-chief of Anhui Daily Ye Yongchao presented us with the enlightenment brought by the creative practices of China’s rural economic reform.
Li Huiying, General Manager of MCC Huatian Engineering and Technology Corporation, highlighted that the reform and opening-up has propelled the development of enterprises and growth of the entrepreneurs.
Li Zhengtu, Deputy Director of Institute of Economics, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences gave a speech about the changes in global economic pattern and the impact of “Belt and Road” initiative.
At the end of the forum, Hong Gongxiang, Dean at School of Business, AHUT, made an address stating the necessity and obligation to adhere to the policy of “Two Unswervinglies”.
The forum was an important part of the series of activities at AHUT to study and implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s speech given at the Great Hall of the People on December 18. Hosted by School of Business, the forum was also aimed at broadening the horizon of AHUTers, facilitating academic exchanges and promoting economic and social development.
