The signing ceremony of the agreement on the research center of environmental protection and coal chemical technology co-constructed by Liu Steel and Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) was held in Liu Steel on July 1st.

Dr. Wei Xianwen, President of AHUT, Gan Guiping, deputy secretary of CPC committee, vice chairman and general manager of Liu Steel, and Luo Jun, deputy general manager of Liu Steel attended the signing ceremony. Representatives from scientific research department, School of Metallurgical Engineering, School of Chemical Engineering , School of Energy and Environment of AHUT and leaders of Liu Steel also attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, after giving a general introduction of Liu Steel, Gan Guiping pointed out that the establishment of the research center marks that Liu Steel is able to provide more and wider platforms to further promote the integration of "Production, Learning, Research and Practice", gather high-level talents, develop major scientific and technological projects, cultivate scientific and technological talents and transform more achievements of scientific and technological cooperation, which is beneficial to Liu Steel in terms of speeding up the pace of switching between new and old kinetic energy, and fully realizing innovation-driven development.

President Wei Xianwen introduced the development of AHUT and the accomplishments of AHUT in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. He pointed out that AHUT will proactively communicate with Liu Steel to ensure the smooth progress of each project and to develop the Environmental Protection and Coal Chemical Technology Research Center into another area with a high concentration of talents, innovation, industry and demonstration.

Liu Jiashu, director of the scientific research department of AHUT, and Deng Shen, the director of the technology center of Liu Steel group, signed a co-construction agreement on the research center of environmental protection and coal chemical technology co-constructed by Liu Steel and AHUT. After the ceremony, a seminar was carried out between principle investigators from AHUT of relevant research projects and people from the technical center of Liu Steel Group.
